Counsel to Group Lucien Barriere in its investment in Group Loulou
22.january.2025

Moncey Avocats assisted Group Lucien Barriere in its acquisition of a majority stake in Group Loulou which owns luxury restaurants in Paris and on the Côte d'Azur.
Through this transaction, Group Lucien Barriere becomes the majority shareholder in Group Loulou, alongside founders and partners.
This merger is the fruit of a meeting of two French family histories driven by the creation of places to remember and by the art of entertaining. It will enable the two groups to accelerate their growth in the upmarket restaurant segment and strengthen the Loulou brand, its authenticity and its expertise in the face of increasingly standardised concepts.
A first mutual project has been announced for December 2024, with the opening of a new Loulou in Courchevel within the Hôtel Barriere Les Neiges.
Group Lucien Barriere was advised by a team from Moncey Avocats composed of:
- David Malamed, partner, Diane Ferriol and Hélène Tazé, lawyers, on the financing of the acquisition.
- Frédéric Bosc, partner, Mathilde Cotillon and Loïc Pipaud, lawyers, on the tax aspects.
