David Malamed takes the helm of Moncey

Moncey Avocats announces the appointment of David Malamed as Managing Partner. He succeeds Frédéric Pinet, a partner in the Corporate team, whose term has come to an end. This transition follows more than four years of exceptional growth. Since its creation in April 2021, Moncey Avocats has established itself as a key player in the French mid-cap transactional market.

In just four and a half years, the firm has achieved remarkable growth: tripling its revenue, expanding from 15 to nearly 50 lawyers, and consolidating a first-tier client base. The firm handles around forty transactions a year and currently advises some thirty investment funds, turnaround funds, listed and unlisted companies, as well as founders and executives.

This growth has been supported by a strategy of targeted, high-level recruitments. The team now includes nine partners with complementary practices: Frédéric Pinet, Guillaume Giuliani, Marie-Victoire James and Fabrice de la Morandière in Corporate; Frédéric Bosc in Tax; David Malamed in Finance; Pierre-Alain Bouhénic in Restructuring; Philippe Lauzeral in Litigation; and Camille Cournot in Employment Law.

David Malamed is a recognized expert in acquisition finance, real estate finance, and financial restructuring. He advises a clientele of French and international investment funds as well as major corporate groups.
Before co-founding Moncey Avocats in 2021, he was a partner at leading French and international law firms and spent more than ten years practicing in New York.
David Malamed is admitted to the Paris and New York Bars. He holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, a D.E.A. in Business Law from Paris II University, and a degree from Sciences Po Paris. He has also been a lecturer in Restructuring at Sciences Po Paris.
